Here are some things to work on this summer to help prepare for Pre-K 4:
- Practice being able to use the bathroom independently.
- Practice proper handwashing.
- Practice putting on and taking off face masks.
- Practice writing your first name(begin with capital and then lower case letters)
- Practice upper case and lower case letters(go on letter hunts searching for letters you know)
- Practice numbers (count things around you)
- Practice colors(sort items of like colors)
- Practice cutting (cutting play doh is a safe activity, take the coupon pages and cut out coupons)
- Practice coloring (work on smooth coloring and staying in the lines)
- READ, READ, READ: If you read one book a day to your child, he or she will have been read 1,825 books by their 5th birthday!
